About the Project
The work of Tania León is rooted in her Cuban cultural heritage and filtered through her experiences of life in New York. Dr. León has been recognized for her work as composer, conductor, and educator, and her compositions have been heard around the world. The new piece will be premiered by the Harlem Quartet, a Sphinx ensemble that embodies diversity and makes inclusiveness a focus of its performances and community engagement.
