About the Grant
$35,000 to support Prometheus Bound (MAP 2009), a new music theater piece written by Tony-award winning writer and lyricist Steven Sater and staged by A.R.T. Artistic Director Diane Paulus. As a centerpiece for the production, the internationally renowned rock musician Serj Tankian (System of a Down) will compose music for and perform in the piece. A.R.T. will present the world premiere of Prometheus Bound in the spring of 2009.
