Moira Brennan: Program Director
Moira Brennan studied theater at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. Her writing about the arts and feminism has been published in the New York Times, Ms. Magazine, American Theatre, Oxygen.com, among other publication.
Lauren Slone, Program Associate
Lauren Ree Slone received classical dance training from the Academy of Ballet Arts and Pinellas County Center for the Arts in St. Petersburg. While earning a B.A. in Religious Studies at West Virginia University, she was on faculty at Morgantown Dance, where she created the only pre-professional training and performance program in North Central West Virginia. Later she completed an MFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Florida State University. At FSU Lauren was a Teaching and MANCC Arts Administration Fellow, studied Gaga technique in Israel with Ohad Naharin, received grants to conduct choreographic research in Spain and Paris, and performed in works by Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Dan Wagoner, and Loren Davidson. Her choreography has been presented at Ringling International Arts Festival in Sarasota, the Wassaic Art Festival, and Ailey Citigroup Theater, among others. She recently founded Empty Nave Projects, a company that produces her creative work. She is also honored to serve the field as MAP Fund's Program Associate.
